ABOUT US
The Ischia Sapere cultural association was established in 2002 and has all the enthusiasm of a young association full of ideas and with ambitious goals. The organisation makes available to its members the collaboration of professionals from all sectors. The primary aim is to spread the Italian language and culture and foreign languages and cultures by means of courses, lessons, meetings, seminars, conventions and other activities. "Culture" is a very broad term that encompasses art, theatre, journalism, inter-religious exchanges, gastronomy and cuisine, appreciation of the island, local handicrafts and a thousand other facets. The activities are aimed at students or foreign tourists but also at islanders who want to deepen their knowledge of the culture of a particular country or even of their own culture. At the end of the course, the association issues a certificate of participation. If a certificate is needed that is valid internationally, and recognised in the field of work or study, the association can prepare its members for the certifying examinations that are held at consulates or appropriate institutions (ESOL, Trinity College, Goethe Institut, etc..). Italian and foreign language courses are occasions, not just for getting to know and enhancing one's knowledge of a language, but for meeting people of other nationalities and learning about their culture: with courses on Italian culture people can deepen their knowledge of aspects of Italian life, custom and traditions. To participate in an Italian language course or other courses and activities, you must register with the association. The association can also suggest possible accommodation on Ischia. The activities are all enlivened by professionals from the different sectors. The Italian language experts are all mother-tongue Italians, with degrees in various disciplines. The foreign language experts are either graduates in foreign languages and literature or are mother-tongue speakers holding qualifications or degrees. The other experts are graduates in various subjects: scenography, conservation of cultural assets, letters, etc.. Some experts or coordinators are well established in the working environment: operators in the tourist sector, journalists and chefs.

The President - Gaetano Pascale
The president and director of the technical-administrative section is Gaetano Pascale who for many years has been involved professionally in the hotel sector and has had extensive experience of working abroad. He is, therefore, the most suitable person to bring to fruition the desire to spread Italian and foreign language and culture, on the island, in Italy and abroad.

The director of studies - Francesca Annunziata
The director of all the educational activities is Francesca Annunziata, a graduate in foreign languages and literature and an expert in multi-media education. After several years of experience of teaching young people and adults, enterprising and highly proficient, she is dedicated full-time to the association, to the coordination and planning of the courses.
