FOREIGN LANGUAGE COURSES

All of our foreign language courses are carefully organised, in accordance with the most modern teaching methods. The programming of the courses complies closely with the levels of the Common European Reference Framework, drawn up by the Council of Europe.
All of our courses - with a few exceptions - are taught half by an Italian instructor with a degree in foreign languages and literature and half by a mother-tongue instructor. All the courses have a duration of 50 or 100 hours and are run fortnightly, three-weekly and also "full immersion" on request and on certain occasions.

After our courses it is possible to participate in our study groups in order to obtain internationally recognised certificates. The main certificates are as follows:

1. for English
· the ESOL examinations of "Cambridge University" to be taken at the British Council in Naples;
· the TOEFL, Test of English as a Foreign Language;
· the examinations of Trinity College;
2. for German, the examinations of the Goethe Institut;
3. for French, the Grenoble examinations;
4. for Spanish, the Cervantes examinations.

Remember that the cost of the course never includes the fee for obtaining the certificate and the participation in the study groups for preparing for the examinations.

Click on this link for the costs.

Our courses are organised in levels: from zero to six.
After an entry test, it is decided to which group those who are not absolute beginners will belong.
Beginners start with the level 0 course for the first 50 hours. In fact, this course 0 is reserved for those who need more time to learn a foreign language: for example, someone who left school or studying a long time ago and has not had practice at learning a foreign language or someone who needs a softer approach, not directly communicative like the higher levels.
The level 1 course is meant for someone who used to have a school-level knowledge of a language but has forgotten it or has not used it for some time.

Here are the various levels and their respective definitions:

Level 0 - Base (from 0 to Level A1): 50 hours of lessons
Level 1 - Base (Level A1): 50 hours of lessons
Level 2 - Pre-Intermediate (Level A2): 50 hours of lessons
Level 3 - Intermediate (Level B1): 50 hours of lessons
Level 4 - High Intermediate (Level B2): 100 hours of lessons
Level 5 - Advanced (Level C1): 100 hours of lessons
Level 6 - Fluent (Level C2): 100 hours of lessons
